Wound Care Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wound Care Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing specialized care and treatment for patients with wound-related conditions.

Job Details

Unit: Wound Care
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Years of Experience Required: 2 years
Required Certifications: BLS Certification
Shift Notes: 7 AM to 7 PM, every other weekend first to float

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in wound care.
Current BLS certification is required.
Ability to provide high-quality nursing care to patients with wounds.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care for patients.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments related to wound care.
Monitor patient progress, documenting care provided in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines.
Educate patients on wound management and preventive care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
