Kitchen Management Opportunity
BBQ House Bar & Grill | Ocean Beach, San Diego
BBQ House Bar & Grill, a family-owned and operated restaurant serving award-winning BBQ for over 35 years, is seeking an experienced, responsible, and motivated Line Cook to join our team.
We are looking for a dependable professional who takes pride in their work, maintains high standards, works efficiently, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate food according to restaurant standards.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Complete daily prep, opening, and closing responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
- Follow proper food safety, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures.
- Demonstrate urgency, organization, and strong time management.
- Communicate effectively and work as a team.
- Take initiative and complete responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Previous professional line cook experience required.
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen operations.
- Ability to multitask and handle busy service periods.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and professional communication skills.
- California Food Handler Card required.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
