Associate Designer-Senior Design Engineer (Aerospace)

This position has ITAR requirements and needs local contractors, with security clearance preferred. Responsibilities include: Review and approve engineering drawings for accuracy, completeness, compliance with standards (e.g., ASME, ISO), and dimensional accuracy. Participate in business requirement discussions and provide key technical inputs. Identify and report non-compliance issues to project managers and design teams. Ensure drawings adhere to national and international standards, as well as company standards. Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet customer requirements. Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and approvals. Implement process improvements to enhance quality. Review 3D models and concepts for alignment with drawings and specifications. Check and approve tolerance stack analyses. Mentor team members to improve engineering drawing skills. Experience in data segregation and triaging. Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks and Catia V5. Engage as a Design Engineer to guide and develop the team. Interact with customers to understand requirements and propose solutions. Lead new development processes. Certified or experienced in GD&T principles, minimum 5 years. Experience in aerospace mechanical engineering and product definition engineering. Ability to work with various engineering drawings, including orthographic, isometric, and sectional views. Familiarity with industry standards like ASME Y14.5-2009 and ISO GPS. Minimum 8 years of experience with CAD software SolidWorks/Catia V5. Good communication skills. Practical experience in design or manufacturing, aerospace preferred.
