Responsibilities:Provide tax compliance and/or advisory services to tax-exempt organizationsWork as part of a dedicated team of experienced exempt organization professionalsBuild and manage a portfolio of client relationships of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clientsGuide teams of professionals working on client projectsManage risk and financial performance of engagements including billings, collections, and project budgetsLead, participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firmAdditional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projectsParticipate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firmQualifications:Minimum five years of recent focused exempt organization experience in an accounting firm, organization, and/or law firmBachelor's degree from an accredited college/universityLicensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or completion of one of the following advanced degrees or professional designations: PHD, DBA, MBA, MDS, MEC, MED, MTX, MIE, MPOD, MPH, MHA, MPAD, MIR, MNPM, MPP, MIAFF, CSA, ARMC, CFA, CFE, CFF, CGFM, CHC, CIA, CMA, CNPM, FRM or CMI, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that listStrong knowledge of tax law preferredExperience managing multiple client engagements and client service teamsExcellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex informationAdditional Qualifications for Senior Manager:Minimum eight years of recent focused exempt organization tax experience in an accounting firm, organization, and/or law firmKPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
