Health Information Specialist II

Are you a skilled Epic EHR professional looking for a high-impact, fully remote opportunity? We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Integrity Specialist to join our remote team. In this essential role, you will manage electronic health record workflows, resolve duplicate medical records, and perform vital chart corrections to support data quality across clinical systems.

Working comfortably from your home office with all equipment provided, you will ensure patient data integrity, privacy compliance, and smooth healthcare operations. If you possess a strong background in Epic chart corrections, duplicate work queues, and patient identity workflows, this 6-month assignment is an excellent way to apply your expertise in a supportive, flexible environment.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Support Health Information Management data quality by managing Epic potential duplicate work queues, reviewing overlay queues, and performing chart corrections to protect patient data integrity and HIPAA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Epic EMPI potential duplicate work queues and resolve duplicate medical records.

• Prioritize records for admitted patients and upcoming appointments.

• Review patient overlay queues and verify demographic data changes.

• Perform chart corrections and coordinate record merges across systems.

• Monitor ticket queues, resolve requests, and escalate complex issues.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Epic EHR experience in patient identity, HIM, and chart corrections.

• Experience with EMPI duplicate work queues and chart correction workflows.

• strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and PHI protection standards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent credential.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and EHR platforms.
