Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12-Hour Night Shift (18:45 - 07:15) with holiday rotation and every other weekend required.

Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across various hospital departments, including Critical Care and Labor & Delivery. This role requires recent critical care experience and the ability to float to all areas of the hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and interventions for patients.
• Administer medications and therapies related to respiratory care.
• Monitor patients and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Conduct procedures such as intubation and extubation, as well as manage mechanical ventilation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Current South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license.
• National Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) must be in hand at the time of start.
• Recent critical care experience is required; CRT certification is not accepted.
