Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate slitting equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Understand shop-floor computer interfaces and total machine operations.
- Follow Product Process Plans and established quality standards.
- Understand palletizing and scanning processes.
- Communicate closely with Press Operators regarding quality issues that arise during the slitting process.
- Identify potential problem areas and alert plant supervision, Quality Assurance, and/or the press crew.
- Participate in weekly safety and quality meetings.
- Perform hazardous waste management duties as required.
- Maintain speed and accuracy while operating production equipment.
- Lift up to 45 lbs.
- Work overtime as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and write sufficiently to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
- Comfortable using shop-floor computer systems.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and accuracy.
- Must be dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
