Location: Nampa, ID
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Machinist to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience in machining and manufacturing while working in a safety-focused, quality-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate basic machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders
- Read and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Produce high-quality parts that meet tight tolerances and specifications
- Inspect finished parts using precision tools ( micrometers, calipers, rulers )
- Meet production goals for safety, quality, and on-time delivery
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Accurately report production output and maintain records
- Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all Quality Management System (QMS) and safety procedures
- Support additional tasks as needed to meet team goals
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of machining processes and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
