AWS Cloud Developer
Location: Des Moines IA 50266 - Onsite
Long term
Responsibilities:
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Develop Java/Java EE application while providing expertise from concept and design to testing.
- Design and develop api-driven or event-driven microservices using Java, SpringBoot, and other technologies
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
- Ensure designs are following specifications and best practices.
- Prepare and produce releases of software components.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
- Work closely with DevOps teams and ensure the proper monitoring and logging are in place.
Expectations:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven hands-on full stack software development experience
- Proven hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms and Spring Boot
- Proven experience in AWS technologies used for development like AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS Api Gateway, AWS Lambda, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Cloud Trail
- Proven experience in container and orchestration technologies like Docker, AWS ECR, AWS ECS, AWS EKS
- Proven experience in IAM technologies like AWS IAM
- Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (OpenJPA, Hibernate)
- Experience in developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services utilizing XML and/or JSON with binding libraries like JAXB, Jackson, Gson, etc.
- Experience with test-driven development
- Experience in testing framework like JUnit, Mockito.
- Implement and adhere to code quality standards with tools like FindBugs, SONAR etc.
