Shift & Schedule: Rotating Day/Night | Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 Days/Week | 36 Hours/Week
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes
Pay Rate: $70 – $73/hr

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Step Down / Med-Surg Tele RN to provide direct nursing care, monitor cardiac rhythms, and care for patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions.
Required Qualifications
Active Ohio RN License or Compact State RN License in hand.
Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty.
AHA or client BLS Certification.
ACLS and NIHSS Certifications.
Strong Med/Surg Tele / Step Down experience.
Ability to care for the same patient population across multiple units as needed.
Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts and at least every other holiday.
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care in Med/Surg Tele and Step Down settings.
Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor changes in patient condition.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize abnormal ECG patterns.
Administer medications and treatments according to orders and hospital protocols.
Monitor vital signs, telemetry, oxygenation, and other clinical parameters.
Care for patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions.
Float to designated units, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department, as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Respond to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately.
Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and disease management.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow infection-control and patient-safety policies.
Complete required ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments.
