Responsibilities: Ensure the cleanliness, order, and maintenance of public areas to hotel expectations Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service Communicate any maintenance issues to Manager Accommodate guest requests for housekeeping items or additional supplies in an expedient and courteous manner Safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals, as per OSHA regulations and hotel policy Adhere to safety procedure whenever lifting, pushing, or pulling Other duties assigned by Manager Assist in implementation of special projects Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests Maintain constant communication between all departments (i.e., room status) Always promote and encourage guest name recognition Possess knowledge of all guest services and amenities Ensure all calls are answered in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property Keep abreast of safety and OSHA requirements Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures Attend all relevant meetings Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and oral instructions Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision. Qualifications: High school education preferred One (1) year related experience in hospitality or service industry Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or guests Research shows that individuals tend to apply to jobs only if they meet all the listed job qualifications.
