Job Title

Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Location

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12 or 4x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations across assigned units
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and scope of practice requirements
• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system for all clinical documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes across multiple specialty areas

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable with pediatric patient populations
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic electronic health record experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
