Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines. Manage telephone triage with professionalism, offering reassurance, education, and clear instructions to patients.
• Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting all information in electronic medical records. Communicate any abnormal findings to the physician and ensure patients understand discharge instructions.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and sample medication management. Coordinate patient testing, referrals, and follow-up communications. Support minor surgeries and physical exams by preparing necessary consents and materials. Provide patient education and ensure comprehension of treatment plans and medication usage.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterility of instruments and equipment. Monitor and order necessary clinical supplies to keep exam rooms fully equipped and compliant with protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.

Education and Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required. This position operates on a first shift schedule within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest United States, offering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
