Registered Nurse - Direct Care

T he Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step-Down patients with cardiac, respiratory, and medical-surgical conditions. This role involves monitoring telemetry, administering medications and therapies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards. Key Responsibilities P rovide direct patient care to PCU/Step-Down patients with complex conditions Monitor cardiac telemetry, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as ordered Assess patient conditions and promptly report changes to the healthcare team Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Float to medical-surgical units as needed and manage appropriate patient assignments Maintain EMR documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies Respond to rapid changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions Required Certifications B LS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) #J-18808-Ljbffr Compunnel, Inc.
