We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The successful candidate will provide essential chairside support to dentists, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role requires strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control protocols, with an emphasis on excellent patient communication and teamwork. Title Dental assistant Job Description Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using chairside and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment following strict aseptic and infection control protocols. Take and process dental X-rays and 3D scans, adhering to safety and quality standards. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft. Manage patient flow by coordinating appointments and communicating effectively with the dental receptionist. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental health. Monitor patient vital signs during procedures to ensure safety and comfort. Provide compassionate care during pediatric dentistry procedures, making young patients feel at ease. Collaborate with dental specialists in general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Salary Range full-time $25 - $33 per hour - Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Solid knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems, especially Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Experience in dental radiography and infection control methods, including ultrasonic cleaning. Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and sterile field situational awareness. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Experience working in pediatric dentistry and general dental clinic environments. Ability to multitask and manage patient flow efficiently. Preferences Certified Orthodontic Assistant Experienced Dental Assistant (3+ years) Mid-level dental assistant certification or equivalent training. Experience in a multi-specialty dental practice (orthodontics, perio, endo, prosth, surgery). Knowledge of 3D scanner operation and imaging technology. Prior experience with medical coding related to dental procedures.
