Fluids Systems Engineer (Contract) - X-59 Program
Location: Palmdale, CA / Edwards AFB, CA (time will be mostly at Edwards with some work done in Palmdale)
Part-time (minimum 20 hrs/week) with potential surge to full-time during flight test operations Duration: 9-12 months

We are seeking two Fluids Systems Engineers to support the NASA/*** X-59 Quiet SuperSonic Technology (QueSST) program through ground test and flight test operations. One role will focus primarily on fuel systems, the other on hydraulic systems, though candidates with experience across both disciplines are strongly preferred.

What you'll do:
Support the design, analysis, integration, and troubleshooting of aircraft fuel and/or hydraulic systems. Provide engineering support during ground test and flight test activities. Review and disposition system anomalies and support real-time test operations as needed. Collaborate with integrated test teams across multiple disciplines and locations.

What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline. Direct experience with aircraft fuel systems, hydraulic systems, or both. Familiarity with fluid system components, schematics, and test procedures. US Citizenship required.

Preferred but not required:
Prior experience in a flight test environment, test lab, or flight test control room. Active security clearance (no clearance required for this program). Experience on military or experimental aircraft programs.
