Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor in Brentwood, Tennessee to prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing. The role involves unpacking, identifying, labeling, and shipping specimens while maintaining production goals and entering patient data accurately. Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 3:00-11:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to appropriate staging areas
• Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
• Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and timely
• Resolve and document problem specimens; properly prepare and store excess samples
• Meet departmental activity and production goals within established turnaround times

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accuracy in specimen identification
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• 3 months specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience (preferred)

Compensation: $750.00 sign-on bonus for external candidates
