Solar Safety Manager

Job Title: Solar Safety Manager Location: Mississippi County, AR Type: Contract Compensation: DOE + $140/Day Per Diem Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the project site. Conduct daily field safety audits, inspections, and observations. Identify hazards and implement corrective actions before incidents occur. Lead safety orientations for new hires and subcontractors. Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions. Monitor compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and site-specific safety plans. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and develop corrective action plans. Track and maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and training records. Support and monitor environmental compliance requirements on the project. Partner with project management and field supervision to ensure safe work practices. Participate in pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments. Maintain a visible presence in the field and actively engage with workers on safety and environmental best practices. Requirements 2+ years of construction safety experience (more experience welcomed). Experience working on utility-scale solar, renewable energy, heavy civil, industrial, or large commercial construction projects. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety principles. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and drive safety initiatives with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company-provided vehicle. Preferred Qualifications: Utility-scale solar project experience. Environmental compliance experience, including erosion control, stormwater management, SWPPP compliance, or other environmental programs. OSHA 30 Certification (required/preferred depending on experience level). CHST, STSC, ASP, CSP, or other relevant safety certifications preferred. First Aid/CPR certification. Experience supporting EPC or renewable energy construction projects.
