Licensed Practical Nurse - LTC

Overview Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure that the needs of the residents are met. Attends to the daily operations of the unit on a per‑shift basis and assumes leadership responsibilities as needed. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for residents. Attend to daily operations of the unit on a per‑shift basis. Assume leadership responsibilities as required. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Nursing (2 years of college) or a diploma from an accredited school of nursing. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and AHA CPR certification. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Synquest, IV Pump, Philips Monitoring System, Accucheck, EKG machine, and specialty bed operation. Formal working knowledge of a specialized nursing field equivalent to an associate’s degree. Less than one year of experience acceptable.
