Payroll Specialist

This is a position primarily responsible for accurately processing bi-weekly payroll. There may be some cross training on accounts payable related tasks in the future, of which the company will provide training. This position requires a cooperative approach with internal personnel, academy personnel, and outside vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide regular updates and payroll bi-weekly Reviewing timesheets 3x a week Cross referencing timesheets to the schedule Generating a weekly labor hour report Tracking non-paid labor that we get from the state (TSEs – Transitional Subsidized Employment) Additional labor related tracking and analysis tasks will be given in the future Prepares payroll and all payroll tax returns on a timely basis. Performs other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience 2–3 years of proven payroll processing or accounting experience. Demonstrated history of supporting US-based business operations. Technical Skills Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory payroll requirements. Familiarity with Paycom or similar payroll platforms (preferred). Analytical & Critical Thinking : Ability to perform variance analysis, data reconciliation, and complex problem-solving. Accuracy & Attention to Detail : Precise calculation and thorough data verification. Time Management : Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and handle urgent payroll requirements. h5i> li> Communication : Excellent verbal and written English skills; ability to communicate clearly and maintain strict confidentiality. Adaptability : Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments. Shift / Hours Monday – Friday Payroll Period – 11PM to 3AM; Operating hours are subject to adjustment as additional duties are assigned; however, the role will maintain its night shift requirement.
