Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team in Springfield, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and electrical systems. If you have a passion for mechanical troubleshooting and a strong background in electrical expertise, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Work with 120/208/240/480 voltage systems to maintain electrical integrity.
- Utilize commercial electrical expertise to diagnose and repair electrical systems.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repair tasks as needed.
- Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for automated systems.
- Maintain and repair conveyor systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Document maintenance activities and report on equipment status.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with a focus on efficiency.
- Knowledge of 120/208/240/480 voltage systems and commercial electrical practices.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and their applications.
- Hands-on experience with conveyor systems and related machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
