Quincy, IL Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field are strongly preferred. We also welcome applicants with relevant experience and alternative qualifying credentials who are passionate about supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

What You'll Do

As a Community Support Specialist, you'll work directly with individuals in their homes, communities, and other natural settings to help them achieve their treatment and recovery goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individualized, community-based behavioral health support services
• Assisting clients in developing life skills, coping strategies, and independent living skills
• Coordinating care with healthcare providers, schools, community agencies, and support systems
• Supporting clients through a strengths-based, person-centered approach
• Utilizing evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, and DBT techniques
• Facilitating Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) groups and skill-building activities
• Advocating for client needs and connecting individuals with community resources
• Maintaining timely and accurate documentation of services provided
• Participating in ongoing professional development and team collaboration

Education and/or Experience Qualifications :

• A bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related human service field;

• A high school diploma / GED and 5 years supervised clinical experience in mental health or human services.
