Why work here: Stable and growing organization with a long-standing industry presence Supportive accounting team and strong leadership Opportunity to gain experience across multiple areas of accounting Diverse responsibilities with room for growth Team-oriented culture focused on accuracy and professionalism What You'll Be Doing as a Bookkeeper: Prepare and file sales and franchise tax returns across multiple states and jurisdictions Research tax requirements and assist with registrations as needed Prepare and post journal entries Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations Maintain petty cash records Track fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation Assist with year-end audit support and 1099 reporting Support Accounts Receivable functions, including cash posting and invoice adjustments Support Accounts Payable functions, including invoice entry, vendor payments, and credit card reconciliations Assist with month-end close and special accounting projects Preferred Qualifications for the Bookkeeper: 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Experience with sales and use tax filings preferred Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations Experience supporting AP and AR processes Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
