Job Summary

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a structural steel manufacturing environment. This role supports production operations by maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems that power robotic welding cells, CNC cutting equipment, overhead/gantry cranes, conveyors, blast systems, and paint/coating lines while ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems supporting structural steel fabrication, welding, material handling, and paint/coating operations
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues related to robotic welding systems, CNC equipment, conveyors, overhead/gantry cranes, and automated production lines
Maintain and repair industrial control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), PLCs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize production downtime
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment, robotics, and automation systems
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system modifications
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, robotics interfaces, sensors, automation, and motor control systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

Weekend work may be required based on production needs.
