The typical patient census ranges from 6 to 8 patients within a unit operating 8 of 10 available beds. Required procedures include central lines, arterial lines, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and paracentesis; intubation support is available through the ED and Anesthesia, with a glidescope available in the unit. Board certification is required for all clinicians considered for this locum tenens assignment.
