Security / Loss Prevention Officer

Job Title Fulltime Loss Prevention Officer Location Waterloo, IA Job Description Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and via closed‑circuit TV. Report writing. Interact with local law enforcement agencies as needed. Provide courtroom testimony as required. Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Fulltime 40 hours per week. $21.00 per hour / Health Insurance / 401k / Paid Time Off. Job Requirements Pre‑employment criminal background and drug screening. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3‑4 hours at a time. Reliable transportation. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means. Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports. Assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation. Trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision. Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated. Previous loss prevention experience a plus, but not a requirement. High school diploma or equivalent (minimum). Criminal Justice or related studies a plus. This is an immediate opening. Paid training will be provided.
