Shift: Monday - Friday | 7 AM - 4 PM

We're seeking a dependable and experienced Forklift Driver to join our client's warehouse team in Plainfield, IN. In this crucial role, you'll operate various forklifts and lifting equipment to move raw materials, in-process items, and finished products efficiently and safely. If you have a strong background in forklift operation and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you to grow your career.

Resumes, a valid driver's license, and recent 2 years experience are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts equipped with various attachments (clamps, elevating platforms, trailer hitches) to transport materials within the warehouse, yard, or factory floor.
  • Load and unload materials from semi-trailer trucks with care, ensuring products are securely handled at all times.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and promptly report any discrepancies to management.
  • Handle pallets, skids, and other lifting devices while loading or unloading materials.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts, including lubrication, battery charging, and fuel handling.
  • Support inventory control processes by tracking materials using warehouse management systems.
  • Organize and assign storage spaces efficiently to support smooth workflow and maximize warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years recent forklift driving experience with proven expertise in operating forklifts and/or clamp trucks.
  • Skilled in maneuvering forklifts through tight aisles, ramps, and onto truck beds while strictly following safety protocols.
  • Strong spatial awareness to accurately judge load heights, widths, and weights.
  • Familiarity with warehouse layouts for efficient material placement and retrieval.
  • Ability to safely handle loads and maintain balance and stability at all times.
  • Physical capability to lift and move objects as needed: occasionally 20-50 lbs, frequently 10-25 lbs, and regularly less than 10 lbs.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
