CNC Programmer

CNC ProgrammerLocation: Euclid, OH Work Schedule: Monday-Friday : 7:00AM - 4:00PMResponsibilities:Lead in the ramp-up of new CNC equipment by creating programs and work holding fixtures.Identify and order new tooling for the creation or improvement of programs as required.Design new jigs, tools, fixtures, and provide technical direction to production personnel.Supervise the validation of new program rollouts and communicate the process effectively with engineers, quality, and production personnel.Collaborate daily with manufacturing engineers concerning machining and operational challenges.Highlight quality problems relative to the conversion of products to CNC-based machining and provide technical direction to implement corrective actions and error-proofing.Train CNC machine operators on new machining technologies as needed.Be proactive in developing machine programs and work collaboratively to obtain the best results for the company.Understand and abide by a high standard of professional ethics to ensure the integrity of the department and the work performed.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in writing programs for CNC machining centers and developing work holding fixtures.4 years of experience in supporting a manufacturing environment.Experience using SolidWorks, Mastercam, AutoCAD, and experienced in G-code.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.Preferred Skills:Demonstrated experience in CNC programming for multi-axis Mazak milling machines using Mastercam.Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software, with preference given to experience in CATIA V5.2-year technical degree or appropriate certificate from a college or trade school with a focus on CNC machining.Experience programming Okuma horizontal machining centers.Union experience.
