About the Facility – Texas City VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics It offers comprehensive healthcare solutions. The clinic is equipped to administer COVID-19 vaccines, addressing common conditions related to internal medicine, offering blood draw and clinical testing services, and specializing in mental health care with a focus on behavioral health. The clinic provides services in optometry, orthopedics, otolaryngology, and urology. Veterans can benefit from various specialized services such as radiology, sleep medicine, prosthetics, and rehabilitation. The clinic conducts screenings for toxic exposures related to military service, ensuring comprehensive healthcare for Veterans. Primary Care Physician - Responsibilities

• The services provided shall be performed in an ambulatory care setting.
• The Primary Care Physician shall see patients for general medicine problems including performing the history and physical exam, making electronic progress notes, scheduling return visits, writing orders for lab and x-ray, prescribing medications, etc.
• The Primary Care Physician participates in quality management activities that pertain to his/her duties.
• In addition to the above clinical responsibilities, shall hold routine administrative duties.
• Shall participate in clinical conferences for staff and shall attend medical staff and service-level meetings.
• The Primary Care Physician shall enter all medical documentation in the Computerized Patient Records Systems (CPRS) and electronically sign all.

Primary Care Physician - Requirements

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
• Must have current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of Columbia.
• Must have current certification in Basic Life Support at certified by the American Heart Association.
