Key Responsibilities

In this multifaceted role, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients referred by physicians to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
• Providing patient education and training to patients and their caregivers, guiding them in managing their conditions effectively at home.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes, leveraging the expertise of occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards in clinical documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population, including:

• Orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries and injuries, focused on restoring movement and strength.
• Pediatric patients requiring rehabilitation for developmental delays or injuries, where creativity and patience are paramount.
• Neurologic patients seeking recovery after strokes or traumatic brain injuries, who may require specialized therapeutic approaches.
• Athletes and active individuals needing sports medicine interventions to prevent or address injuries and optimize performance.

Qualifications

Candidates are required to possess the following:

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program approved by APTA or CAPTE.
• A valid DPT license to practice in the State of New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and word processing applications.
• A solid ability to build strong rapport with patients, helping them achieve and exceed their personal health goals.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist is required, we particularly value candidates with:
