Forklift Operator

Material Handler – Modern Facility | Growth Opportunity | Full-TimeSupport a fast-paced warehouse and production environment by moving materials, organizing inventory, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving operations. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, operating forklifts, and keeping production running efficiently.What You'll DoMove materials throughout the warehouse using sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacksKeep production areas stocked with the correct materials to support continuous machine and assembly operationsUse paper pick sheets to locate, pick, and stage parts with accuracySupport RF scanner implementation by learning new scanning technology as the facility transitions from paper to digitalCreate Bills of Lading and schedule LTL and truckload pickups with carriersUnload incoming materials, tag items correctly, and organize them in the receiving areaDeliver materials to machines based on supervisor instructions and job requirementsPick and build pallets for assembly, then deliver them safely using forkliftsStage outbound shipments, load trucks, and ensure proper labeling and documentationPerform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory and identify discrepanciesComplete general warehouse tasks to support shipping, receiving, and material flowEssential SkillsMaterial handling experience in warehouse, shipping, or receivingHands-on picking experience using pick sheetsForklift operation (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck)Order picking & pallet buildingComputer proficiency for basic data entry and shipping documentationShipping & receiving experience including BOL creation and truck loading/unloadingComfort with paper and RF systemsStrong attention to detailPreferred ExperienceCreating BOLs & scheduling carriersRF scanner experienceInventory control & cycle countsGeneral labor in manufacturingClear communication with supervisorsWork EnvironmentBrand-new warehouse and production facilityNon-temperature-controlled environment (hot in summer, seasonal variation)Frequent forklift use: sit-down, stand-up, reach truckPhysical work including loading/unloading trucks and moving palletsBreak room with snack/drink marketAppropriate work footwear required (supported by boot reimbursement)Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
