Assistant Grocery Manager

Position Overview: The Grocery Assistant Manager assists the department manager with all aspects of daily operations and activities of the grocery department, ensuring quality, freshness, product assortment and excellent customer service. Availability & Schedule Open Shift: Morning, Day, Evening (varies per store needs). Available upon interview. Full‑time. Responsibilities Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures. Assist the Grocery Manager with the successful operation of the department. Ensure quality and freshness of all products and services. Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels. Receive, store, and stock a wide variety of products. Order product based on past and projected sales. Pull out of date product from shelves. Maintain company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity. Teach, mentor, and educate associates. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the Department Manager and/or Store Manager. Interact daily with store associates, customers, and vendors. Skills & Physical Abilities Basic computer skills. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Requires standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, and reaching throughout the work day. Tasks requiring repetitive motion and coordination. Hear and respond to customer inquiries. Qualifications High School Diploma or General Studies. 1–2 years of prior grocery operations or retail experience preferred. Shift: 1st Shift (United States).
