Manufacturing Accounting Specialist | AP/AR & Month-End

The Accounting Specialist supports day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial record‑keeping and efficient processing of transactions. This role provides hands‑on support in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month‑end close activities, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Which tasks will you perform? Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity. Process vendor invoices by verifying accuracy, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely payments. Perform data entry and maintain financial records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Support month‑end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist with accounts receivable activities, including monitoring aging and supporting collection follow‑ups. Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status. Maintain organized filing systems to ensure documentation is audit‑ready and compliant. Provide support for internal and external audits by gathering and preparing required documentation. Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data. Identify and support process improvement opportunities within accounting workflows. Perform other related duties as assigned. What do we expect? Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 1 year of accounting, finance, or related experience (including internship or entry‑level exposure). Basic understanding of accounting principles (AP, AR, reconciliations). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, and reconciliation support). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments. Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Exposure to month‑end close processes (preferred). Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment (Preferred). What can you expect from us? The listed salary range for this position is $25 to $35 per hour, but the actual package offered may vary depending on different factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
