About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Global Head of Medical Affairs to lead the development and implementation of medical affairs strategy for its CNS/Neuroscience portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading the medical affairs function, building and managing medical affairs capabilities, and ensuring the organization is prepared for future external engagement and potential commercialization activities. This role requires a hands-on, strategic leader with a proven track record in medical affairs, the ability to partner across various functions, and the skill to translate complex scientific information into a clear medical strategy. The VP, Global Head of Medical Affairs will also be involved in guiding medical communication activities, external scientific engagement, and publication-related planning, and will represent the medical perspective in strategic discussions. Applicants for the VP, Global Head of Medical Affairs position at the company should have a strong background in leading medical affairs strategy within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related life sciences environment. Experience in a smaller, emerging, or growth-stage life sciences organization, particularly in the CNS or Neuroscience field, is preferred. The role demands an individual with an advanced scientific or clinical degree, such as an MD, Ph.D., or Pharm.D., with an MD being the preferred educational background. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build and manage teams, processes, and medical affairs capabilities, as well as a strong executive presence and communication skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
