Enjoy weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, and a family-oriented, traveler-friendly culture.Quick FactsLocation: 2510 West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118Start Date: 05/18/2026End Date: 08/15/2026Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)Hours/Week: 36 hours/week (3-4 shifts) per week, every other weekend, holiday rotations requiredEmployment Type: ContractLicense/Certifications: Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (preferred)Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience, cross-trained in ICU and Med/Tele preferredPay & BenefitsPay Rate: $53.60/hourBenefits: Weekly pay schedule via direct depositComprehensive medical benefits (W-2)Paid sick time in compliance with applicable lawsLicensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicableRobust referral bonus program24/7 dedicated support team during your assignmentWhat You'll DoProvide high-quality nursing care to PICU patients, including those with MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and post-op neuro and ortho casesTitrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, and pain meds; monitor patient responsePerform phlebotomy and manage IVs, CVLs, wound care, drains, and wound vacsUtilize Meditech Expanse EMR for patient documentationCollaborate with multidisciplinary team including intensivists, hospitalists, RT, and resource nursesAdjust to units such as NICU, Adult ICU, or Step-down based on skillset and experienceWork independently and as part of a focused team to ensure patient safety and comfortWhat You NeedActive RN license in Louisiana or in processMinimum of 2 years PICU experience; crossover to Med/Tele and adult ICU preferredCurrent BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; NRP preferredStrong skills in titration, PIV, CVL, telemetry, and wound careAbility to pass an EKG competency exam prior to startComfort in managing complex pediatric and adult patients across multiple critical care scenariosAbout the AssignmentThis assignment is for a busy, family-oriented unit known for its traveler-friendly environment. You will work 3-4 shifts per week, with a schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday rotations. The unit provides a supportive atmosphere with a focus on quality patient care and team collaboration.
