A Mammography Technologist opportunity is available in Salt Lake City, UT, offering a contract position with 4-10 hour shifts, including weekends. This role is ideal for professionals with at least one year of experience and a Bachelor's degree in a health science program from an accredited institution. Candidates must hold a current UT State License, ARRT (R)(M) certification, and BLS certification, and be prepared to wear a radiation badge.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform radiographic mammography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for detecting breast tissue abnormalities.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, applying judgment, creativity, and initiative.
• Verify patient identification and orders, prepare patients for exams.
• Conduct routine and advanced mammography exams, including stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages.
• Operate mammographic equipment skillfully to ensure optimal image quality.
• Implement radiation safety protocols meeting ALARA requirements to protect patients and staff.
• Stay current with new technologies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with JCAHO and Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control standards.
• Complete all documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ years of mammography experience.
• Bachelor's degree in health science from an accredited institution.
• UT State Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT (R)(M) certification.
• BLS certification.
• Radiation badge compliance required.
