Retina Surgeon
Horizon Eye Care is seeking a fellowship-trained medical and surgical Retina Specialist to join our well-established, high-volume, multi-specialty practice in the summer of 2026. This position will join five existing Retina Specialists. Our practices have state-of-the-art equipment including Cirrus OCT and Pascal Laser. Horizon surgeons primarily operate at a hospital ASC that is fully equipped for advanced vitreo-retinal surgery.
The ideal candidate will have a focus on excellent outcomes, sound clinical judgement, ethical decision-making, strong interpersonal and communication skills and motivation to contribute to the growth of our practice.
The position includes competitive compensation, partnership track, full benefit offering including a 401(k) retirement savings plan, $2,000 annual education allowance for the first two years, professional liability insurance and long term disability insurance. Relocation assistance is negotiable.
Horizon Eye Care's group consists of 22 MDs and 3 ODs located in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area. At our seven convenient locations throughout the region, Horizon Eye Care offers the personal attention of highly skilled, nationally recognized doctors utilizing state-of-the art technology across the spectrum of vision care for full-service medical and surgical care, including all subspecialty areas. As such, we have an established referral base from a variety of practices in the regional area. All of our locations offer optical and contact lens services. Extensive administrative and practice support is available.

The international airport is within minutes from the heart of the city and there are incredible living options from center city to convenient suburban locations and lake areas.
