Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Neurology located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a Neurology Unit with a focus on neuro and stroke patients. Candidates are required to bring their current RN license on the first day of assignment. This role is suitable for professionals with at least one year of experience and charge experience or willingness to learn charge duties.

Job Details:

• Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
• Position Type: RN, Medical Surgical Neurology Floor
• Shift: Nights, 1900-0700, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Number of Openings: 2
• Schedule: Night shift orientation on day shift, candidates must be available for the entire orientation week. Weekend work is as required by the facility, including at least one major holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years Day).
• Required Qualifications: Current RN License (eligible or licensed in Missouri), minimum 1 year of experience, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, NIH certification (can be completed at orientation), neuro and stroke experience highly preferred, trauma level experience preferred, EMR experience with EPIC, annual flu vaccination with Mercy approved exemption required from November 1 to April 1.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience or willingness to learn charge duties.
• Additional Information: Night shift orientation on day shift, candidates should expect to work at least one major summer or winter holiday. Candidates must confirm they are able to accept the position, understand the floating requirements, and have explored housing options in the area.
• Submission Requirements: All contingency requests must be on the submission form. Flu vaccination/Mercy approved exemption is mandatory for all travelers during specified months.
