Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit is responsible for providing direct patient care in a 33-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1. The role includes collaborating with unit secretaries, techs, and charge nurses, while utilizing the Meditechs documentation system.

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic medical-surgical nursing care.
• Utilize and maintain documentation in Meditechs system.
• Float to other units as needed per the floating policy.
• Ensure white boards are filled out for patient experience requirements.

Requirements:

• Basic med surg knowledge.
• Current BLS certification.
• Wear navy blue, black, royal blue, or any color gray scrubs.
