Front Desk Medical Assistant – Vascular SurgeryVein & Artery Surgical Consultants (VASC) San Antonio, TexasBe the First Smile Our Patients See!Vein & Artery Surgical Consultants (VASC) is looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Assistant to join our growing vascular specialty practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, thrives in a fast-paced medical office, and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service while supporting both administrative and clinical operations. As an important member of our team, you'll help create a welcoming patient experience while assisting with front office responsibilities and providing clinical support as needed.What You'll DoFront Office ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner.Schedule office appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with questions and appointment requests.Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and other required information.Complete patient registration and check-in procedures.Coordinate referrals and obtain outside medical records as needed.Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR).Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.Clinical SupportAssist physicians and clinical staff with Medical Assistant duties as needed.Provide additional administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient daily operations.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBilingual in English and Spanish is required.High School Diploma or GED required.Medical Assistant diploma required.Previous experience in a medical office, specialty clinic, surgical practice, or vascular practice preferred.Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical scheduling systems preferred.Insurance verification and prior authorization experience is a plus.Position RequirementsValid Texas driver's license in good standing.Must be listed as a covered driver on personal automobile insurance.Reliable transportation for travel between clinic locations as needed.Why Choose VASC?At Vein & Artery Surgical Consultants, we are committed to delivering exceptional vascular care while creating a positive experience for every patient.
