We are hiring for a manufacturing company located in Lewisville, TX , who is seeking a skilled  MIG & TIG Welder to join their Model Shop team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding and fabrication, working on prototypes, fixtures, and metal components that support production and product development. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.

$20/hr

Monday-Friday 5am-5pm + Weekends

Must be able to work overtime

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals such as aluminum and steel with precision and quality.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Fabricate and assemble custom metal components, prototypes, and fixtures.
• Collaborate with engineers and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Inspect welds and workpieces to ensure conformance to design and quality standards.
• Use hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Support other shop or production tasks as needed.
• Perform overtime when required (mandatory).

Position Qualifications

• Proven experience in MIG & TIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring devices accurately.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs . regularly.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.

Requirements

• Resume or detailed work history required.
• Must be available for mandatory overtime when scheduled.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Experience in metal bending, resistance welding, or general fabrication.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to contribute ideas for process or quality improvements.
