Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) — SHPE 

Immediate Openings | $2,000 Sign-On Bonus | No Weekends or Holidays

Location: Little Rock, AR 72099 and its surrounding cities

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM

Pay: $20.21–$25.00/hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location

What You'll Do

Core Duties:

• Initiate, perform, and complete assigned nursing duties for variable patient populations.
• Provide patient care based on individual patient conditions, using sound judgment when determining the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments.
• Accurately recognize, document, and report relevant patient information.
• Observe, identify, and respond to patient care needs, including medications, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications, including oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and/or intravenous medications, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Perform prescribed nursing treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance from the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed.
• Support complex diagnostic tests and specialized procedures by preparing patients, assisting during examinations, handling specialized instruments and equipment, and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Complete clerical and administrative support duties, including submitting consults and ensuring required appointment documents and consent forms are completed.
• Orient peers and ancillary personnel to applicable unit policies, procedures, skills, and standards of practice.
• Promote a healthy work environment that supports quality patient care, patient and family education, and employee satisfaction.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in case discussions, continuing education, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.

Department-Specific Duties — SHPE:

• Provide Separation Health and Physical Examination (SHPE) health assessment support in accordance with applicable Department of Defense and Air Force policies and guidance.
• Provide Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) service support.
• Provide DRHA and MHA support in accordance with applicable governing regulations, including DAF 48-122 and Deployment Health requirements.
• Become proficient in Military Health System (MHS) Genesis , Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR), and other computer systems relevant to the position.
• Accurately document patient assessments, services, and clinical information within required healthcare systems.
• Support efficient patient flow and ensure required health assessment documentation is completed accurately and on time.

What You'll Need — Mandatory Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of practical or vocational nursing experience after graduation .

Education: LPN Certificate or Diploma. Graduate of an accredited community college, junior college, college, university, or Practical/Vocational Nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by an applicable recognized nursing accrediting body, including the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) , as applicable at the time the program was completed.

Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted LPN or LVN license from any U.S. state, district, or territory.

Life Support Certification: Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification .

Security: Must be able to pass a Government background check/security clearance .
