Job Description Opportunity Northwestern Medical Group is actively recruiting a full-time OB/GYN Hospitalist to join our forward-thinking practice. Our state-of-the-art facilities provide an innovative and compassionate environment for patient care. Practice Highlights: The position is a hospital-based role. Our integrated practice model, built around patient safety, consists of both office- and hospital-based OB/GYN physician services. Office-based services offer all aspects of gynecologic care- for wellness, prenatal obstetrics, complex conditions and elective surgical needs. Our practice model supports 24-hour in-house physician coverage for the practice’s obstetrics and inpatient/emergent gynecology patients. This model, unique and growing in popularity around the country, promotes patient safety, offers opportunities for physicians to focus in preferred areas of OB/GYN, fosters work-life balance and results in overall improved OB/GYN physician job satisfaction. This position is a full-time clinical FTE with a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits. NM Lake Forest Hospital Expansion Northwestern Medicine is nearing completion of a campus development project at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital to allow us to better serve patients and the community. The was launched in response to the ongoing need for more patient care services and expanded access to patient care. The project will: Increase the total number of hospital beds to 210, including 168 inpatient beds, 24 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds and 18 postpartum beds Relocate and expand the Emergency Department with more diagnostic imaging equipment capabilities Improve access to care Continue to grow specialty care services Qualifications
