Respiratory Therapist

Holyoke Medical Center is a 219-bed independent community hospital that has served the healthcare needs of the Pioneer Valley for over 125 years. We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient-centered care. Our Respiratory Therapy team is seeking an individual to provide respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary insufficiencies, in compliance with the medical center's standards of care. The scope of patient services provided encompasses age groups ranging from infants to a predominant population. Accountabilities include providing respiratory therapy services in both clinical and community settings, positive customer, interdepartmental and intradepartmental communications, and maintaining and improving competencies.

Requirements: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an A.M.A. approved program; advanced training in therapies for persons of all ages desirable; current registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care OR must be obtained within 6 months of employment; current license within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist; current CPR certification required; current NRP required within three months of employment; ACLS desirable.
