AccountantLocation: Asheville, NC/Mill Spring, NCSchedule: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pmPay: $54,000 – $67,500 based on experienceBenefits:PTO/Sick Time Accrual from first dayMedical/Dental/Vision BenefitsCompany Funded Life InsuranceRetirement Plan with Company MatchFree Meals on ShiftResponsibilities:Preparing and distribution of all invoicesPrepare and post journal entriesMaintain regular contact with resident families regarding all financial issuesReceive and enter all payments from residents, staff, and donors on a daily basisAssist in entering accounts payable invoices and with monthly sales, tax reports, and semi-annual claim for refundAssist with various account reconciliations: bank accounts, credit cards, balance sheet and income statementGenerate and distribute a monthly departmental income statement to program leadersPrepare weekly trend report on accounts receivableAssist with annual audit and Form 990 preparationAssist CFO with review and preparation of quarterly board report and budget preparationServe as a back-up to payroll review and processingQualifications:4 years of experience working in a public accounting or the accounting department of a private industry or non-profit organizationBA or BS in accountingExperienced in Microsoft Office especially Excel and WordKnowledge of intermediate accountingCooperRiis is an equal opportunity employer.
