Commercial HVAC TechnicianJob Description

A leading commercial HVAC and facilities services provider is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Technicians to support municipal and commercial facilities throughout the Nashville area. This position is ideal for technicians who can independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex HVAC systems while providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, VRF systems, cooling towers, hydronic systems, RTUs, and split systems. Technicians will be responsible for responding to service calls, performing preventative maintenance, completing repairs, and documenting work through a CMMS system.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and service calls independently
• Work on chillers, boilers, VRF systems, cooling towers, pumps, hydronic systems, RTUs, rooftops, and fan coil units
• Complete work orders and service documentation through a CMMS platform
• Support equipment startups, commissioning activities, and installation validation
• Participate in an on-call rotation as scheduled
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and customer service

QualificationsRequired

• EPA Universal Certification or EPA 608 Certification
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC systems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Strong electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred

• Experience with chillers, boilers, VRF systems, cooling towers, and hydronic systems
• HVAC trade school or vocational training
• Trane, Daikin, or manufacturer certifications
• Startup and commissioning experience
• Experience using CMMS/work order systems

Work Environment

This team supports a variety of municipal and commercial facilities throughout the Nashville area, including administrative buildings, public safety facilities, warehouses, libraries, and other government-owned properties. Technicians work on a wide range of HVAC equipment and are given opportunities to grow into leadership, commissioning, and specialized technical roles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

PTO available after 90 days of employment and is accrued monthly Medical (including an HSA plan), dental, visionCompany invests in employee development, certifications, and long-term career growth.
