The department supports patients of all ages who require treatment for conditions such as COPD, asthma, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. The team also assists with critical care and neonatal cases, providing a broad and rewarding clinical experience.What You’ll DoAdminister and monitor oxygen, humidity, and therapeutic modalities (masks, cannulas, trach masks, etc.)Deliver aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and other respiratory therapiesManage mechanical and non-invasive ventilation, including airway care and suctioningAssist with emergency procedures such as CPR, intubation, and extubationPerform diagnostic testing including blood gases, ECGs, and pulmonary function testsAssess patient needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care teamMaintain, calibrate, and clean respiratory equipment to ensure safety and performanceQualificationsCurrent Ohio Respiratory Care Practitioner License (or eligibility)BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications requiredGraduate of an accredited respiratory therapy programRRT credentialed or registry-eligible (NBRC)Ideal CandidateYou’re a compassionate and detail-oriented respiratory therapist who values teamwork, patient-centered care, and professional growth.
