Travel Labor and Delivery Nurse

Schedule: Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:45–07:15

Assignment Details Contract Length: 13–26 weeks

Requirements Minimum 2 years Labor and Delivery experience (3 years preferred) Experience required on high-volume/higher-acuity OB units (>300 births/month) Certifications: BLS (BCLS), NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced accepted) License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal EMR Experience: Epic

Roles & Responsibilities Provide care to obstetrical patients, including high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. Manage labor and delivery processes, including conducting sterile vaginal exams and immediate newborn care. Administer medications, IV hydration, and perform fetal surveillance. Participate in scheduled and unscheduled C-sections, including circulating in the operating room. Support the triage of obstetrical patients and manage double labor assignments as necessary.

Compliance / Notes Orientation: 24 hours Strict RTO policy: Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (no holidays); no RTO during the first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; must work 2 of 3 major holidays. Candidate testing: Must complete testing within 48 hours after signing. Pre-start modules required (non-billable): Acute ~8–10 hours; Non-acute ~4–5 hours — must be completed pre-start.
