Childcare Music Instructor for Little Wing and Rookies

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of musicians? School of Rock South Plainfield is seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and engaging Music Instructor to lead group classes for our youngest rockers (4-7 years old)!

If you love working with small kids, have a knack for bringing the fun, and want to introduce children to their lifelong musical journey, this is the perfect role for you.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Group Lessons: Teach our highly interactive Little Wing (ages 4-5, 45-minute lessons) and Rookies (ages 6-7, 1-hour lessons) programs.

• Encourage Musical Exploration: Guide children as they follow their curiosity, helping them explore the guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums, and vocals to discover the instruments they love the most!

• Teach the Basics: Introduce foundational music concepts in an environment that is highly engaging, fun, and packed with learning.

• Partner with Parents: Be patient, communicative, and regularly provide thoughtful feedback to parents regarding their child's progress.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience & Passion: Prior experience working with young children (ages 4-7) is a must. You need to genuinely enjoy teaching, engaging with, and inspiring this specific age group.

• Musical Foundation: The ability to teach the absolute basics of music while comfortably navigating our core instruments.

• Patience & Attentiveness: A natural ability to nurture curiosity, pivot when needed, and adapt to the energetic needs of young learners.

Schedule, Compensation & Training:

• Compensation: Hourly pay starting at $21/hour.

• Availability: Lessons are previously scheduled and happen every week. It will be during our operating hours: Monday – Thursday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and/or Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

• Training & Resources: We provide a mandatory, paid training program for this role.
