AWS Technical Writer

To support a DoD program, the fully remote AWS Technical Writer will create, maintain, and improve technical documentation for a complex IT environment, collaborating with engineers and system administrators to ensure clarity and accuracy. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain various technical documentation, including user guides, SOPs, and API documentation Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to gather information and verify documentation accuracy Document system configurations, deployment procedures, and operational workflows while ensuring version control Required qualifications 7-9 years of experience in producing technical documentation for IT systems or software development Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments and UNIX/Linux command-line operations Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence or SharePoint Familiarity with AWS cloud services, particularly EC2, and general knowledge of the AWS ecosystem Experience with version control systems like Git and understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
